Deze pagina geeft alle oude foto's weer die we in het archief van Achilles De Maertelaere hebben gevonden. Het betreft foto's van (een deel van) zijn werken. Op de achterkant vinden we soms ook een annotatie, in bruine inkt, vergezeld met de handtekening van Ach. Bentos. De eventuele titel van het werk wordt wergegeven, plus enkele aantekeningen. Het is duidelijk dat die foto's de "echtheidsbewijzen" van de kunstenaar zijn.
Voor sommige foto's werd ook nog met potlood (pot.), en met een ander handschrift, iets toegevoegd, veelal een plaatsnaam: wij vermoeden dat hier de toenmalige locatie van het werk wordt meegedeeld.

Cette page reproduit toutes les photos anciennes que nous avons retrouvées dans les archives d'Achilles de Maertelaere. Il s'agit de (une partie) des ses oeuvres. Au verso nous trouvons parfois aussi une annotation, en encre brune, et la signature Ach. Bentos. Le titre de l'oeuvre et parfois l'une ou l'autre notice sont ajoutés. De toute évidence, ces photo's sont les "preuves d'authenticité" de l'artiste.
Sur certaines photos on trouve encore, au crayon (pot.) et dans une autre écriture, une ajoute, généralement un nom de lieu: nous pensons que l'on a ajouté le lieu où devait se trouver cette oeuvre à cette époque.

On the back, we find sometimes also an annotation, in brown ink, and the signature Ach. Bentos. The title of the work and sometimes one or other note are added. Obviously, these photos are the artist's "proof of authenticity".
On some photos, there is still an addition in pencil (pot.) and in another handwriting, usually a place name: we think that this gives the place where this work was located at that time.
